HOW THE MUSHROOM CSA WORKS
Start with a conversation. Participation and block approval come before shipment.
1. Contact us.
Tell CompostHubOnline you are interested in the Mushroom CSA, for yourself or as a gift.
2. Confirm in writing.
Receive written acceptance of participation and confirmation of available capacity.
3. Supply approved blocks.
Provide approved ready-to-fruit mushroom blocks. Blocks must be approved before shipment.
4. Deliver as confirmed.
Ship approved blocks to Bird of Paradise Ranch with signature confirmation, following confirmed delivery instructions.
5. We manage the grow-out.
CompostHubOnline manages the growing environment, shade, moisture, monitoring, and routine care.
6. Follow production.
Follow your production cycle through photographs, video, and farm updates as available.
7. Allocate usable harvest.
Usable mushroom harvest is divided by weight: 70% to the participant and 30% to CompostHubOnline.
8. Pick up your share.
Collect your allocated harvest at Bird of Paradise Ranch within the established pickup period.

The normal seasonal mushroom grow-out fee is currently waived for a limited number of pilot participants.
The participant supplies the approved blocks. Participation remains subject to available capacity and written acceptance.

Oyster mushrooms are the current production focus. The participant supplies approved ready-to-fruit mushroom blocks.
Contact CompostHubOnline and receive written acceptance of participation before shipping. Confirm that your blocks are approved, then follow the ranch’s confirmed delivery instructions and ship with signature confirmation.

AGRICULTURAL RISK AND PROGRAM CONDITIONS
REAL PRODUCTION. SEASONAL VARIABLES.
Mushroom production is biological and variable. Participation is subject to available capacity and written acceptance.
- Variable production. Yield, number of flushes, timing, and total harvest are not guaranteed.
- Block suitability. Contaminated, damaged, overheated, frozen, or otherwise unsuitable blocks may be rejected.
- Participation period. Participation lasts for one production season or until the blocks no longer provide useful production.
- Perishable harvest. Pickup requirements apply. Collect your allocated mushrooms at Bird of Paradise Ranch within the established pickup period.
